Season of Change
While walking, a gust of cooler-than-usual wind tickled my face. I felt the sun peeking through the distant mountains, almost as if it were saying, “Hello. I see you.”
I felt connected to the earth around me and smiled. The racing thoughts and endless to-do lists in my mind finally paused. There I was, walking, simply being present, and enjoying the outdoors after a long week of working inside.
The trees are beginning to turn shades of red, orange, and yellow. The air has a crispness that makes me want to sit beside a fire with a mug of hot cocoa. Fall is here in all its glory, beauty, and splendor.
Fall is a season of change, not just because of the new Starbucks menu. For me, it is also a time for self-reflection. As a new season begins, I find myself asking: What new beginning do I want to create?
We can learn a great deal by observing the trees. They let go of their leaves, preparing the ground for winter. Those fallen leaves help protect the soil from snow and ice, while also creating shelter for animals.
What do I want to shed or release to make space for something new? How can I use the changing seasons as inspiration on my own longevity journey? What small, meaningful habits can I adopt to support healthy aging and help my body thrive through every season of life?
At neverquit2stayfit our group of expert health coaches can help you on your journey. We look forward to connecting with you. Happy Fall Ya’ll!
